Never a Doctor

Never a Doctor

By:

Alejandro Amado

“Most my life I have wanted to be a doctor,” my dad has always told me, my dad the one who lived most his life in Europe, has always been interested in being a doctor. But he was held behind due to his father dying when age eleven, and his mother not taking correct care of the money. His dream was cut short when he went to med school but could not finish because of financial problems. Is sad, but will keep trying to find a new career. Although he could not fulfill his dream he managed to make a construction company and help build luxury resorts. He has worked in places such as Cabo San Lucas, Hawaii, and Panama.

Life Can Change in Seconds

Life Can Change in Seconds

It was just an ordinary morning for Hannah Smith, she woke up had breakfast took a shower. But what she didn’t know is when she was happily walking to school her whole life changed in a matter of seconds. A black van stopped, took her and sped away. Hannah’s father witnessed the event occur before his eyes, he quickly grabbed his bicycle and pedaled, but was no match for the car (He didn’t have a car.) Hannah who is scared and confused does not know what will be of her.

18 years later, there have been numerous police calls to a house concerning screaming, but when the authorities arrived they couldn’t help but to lazily check, and get out as fast as possible. Little did they know the frightened Hannah was being held captive in a small shack at that very same house. One normal evening a strange man appears with a young woman and two children to a university asking to make a speech regarding god, Jennifer the girl who was attending them felt a negative vibe from these strange people, she told them to come back the next day, she thought and thought and came to a conclusion to call the police and investigate this man. The next evening the police took the man into custody, investigated the man, and found out the truth, Hannah was the young women and the kids where the two children they had when the man raped Hannah. Currently Hannah is back with her parents, (The names of the characters of the event have been changed, to protect their identity.)

Mothers Day

This mothers day was just an ordinary mothers day, the only difference was that I was sick and I couldn't go to the family break feast. Most of the day wasn't very exciting my dad went to work my brother was doing whatever, my mom was talking to her friends for hours. And I was just watching TV. You might think this is just another ordinary boring day, but when the night comes everything changed. We went out to dinner with my parents to "Peperoncini" (I think that's how you spell it.) we stayed their and had a dinner between my brother, my mom, my dad and my uncle, the food was OK although I didn't have much appetite for anything.

Miami

Miami that's where I was born, the place where all the models go for a great tan. Miami, is a place to have fun, south beach the place to be at night, the clubs the bars every night life event is there. Besides parting and going to the beach Miami is a great place to shop.

Miami is a place of mix cultures Cubans, Mexicans, or just Americans make up this awesome city. At night you cannot see the stars or the moons but you can see the bright lights from the buildings shining in your face. I go to Miami once every year and I stay in my aunts apartment in Keybescane, when am their I usually check out all the nice cars. No matter if your Asian, American, Latin, or European Miami will always make you feel at home.

Hello

Dear Cody,

I have not seen you for now 2 years but, I am here to write about my daily life and describe where I live. First of all school, school is well boring (You might imagine that,) the school work and home work infuriates me because its so long and boring. Th e authority's in Panama are not as strict as the ones in the U.S.A. And when you had the epidemic of the swine flu in the states, not many got it here in Panama.

The birds here have extraordinary plumage, it almost seems like a sham. And the forests here are mythical because of their beauty, and the pine apple here is a delicacy. Many people in Panama live in dilapidated homes and their are many beggars on the street, even children beg I think thats so wrong because they should be doing better things like going to school. Anyway write back soon.

Sincerely, Alejandro.

Homework

Alejandro Amado

Confession Tuesday

Dec 1, 09

I am here to confess that I always tell my parents I do my home work, I do this only for one reason so I can watch T.V. When my parents ask me to show them my homework I usually just get an old piece of paper I have and show it them. I do this because if I don’t do my homework at night or on the bus I can always do it in lunch time, so why bother. Anyways homework is very boring, and I really don’t enjoy doing it. Am also here to confess that I really do not like homework, I mean your SUPPOSE to learn everything at school, homework leaves no time for out of school activities such as sports. All I hear at the end of the class is “”Ok guys this is your homework,” and “This homework is worth a test grade.” And the worst part is they give you homework on the WEEKENDS the week ends means the week ends! Your suppose to chill out, and FORGOT about that school.

The doctors said the tumor was too big and could not be removed, they said she would have one more year at the most. My aunt has a tumor in her intestine which is too big to remove; therefore the doctors must leave in place and just wait. What do you do when you know your life will soon come to an end? Pray, do all your life’s dreams, or say goodbye. I think when you know you’re going to die; you see life in a different way, you stop worrying about the little problems, and appreciate life.

My aunt the one who goes to do chemotherapy every month is tired and in pain, when you look at her, she is a pale as milk, and is terribly weak. Although she suffers she always keeps herself busy, and always has a smile on her face. Now I really know that life is really not that long.

Life isn’t Just Fun and Games

By:

Saturday night Brian and I went to the mall, we intentionally planned to watch a movie but the tickets where sold out, so we bought a baby football and threw it in the mall. It would soon be 1:00 am so I had to call my mom to pick us up, but Brian convinced me to stay another hour. While Brian and I threw the ball, we started to talk to the mall cops.

We talked about each others life, and then the mall cop brought up the topic of when we grow up. He told us that unlike him who has to earn every penny to support his family, we are probably going to inherit a business or a company, I think he was trying to tell us that we where spoiled and that we shouldn’t throw a ball in the mall. This experience has changed me because I am now more grateful for what I have, and I see what a lot of people have to go through every day to support their family.

"Yes mother?" I answered.
"Have you done your reading yet?"
"Of course mother," I lied. Five days later my mom asked for all six pages of summary, I lied again and said that I had lost them, and that I would re-do them. I sighed then took my book and started reading and writing finally, I finished and turned it in. But now I know that if I lie ill get into more trouble, I also learned that I should to my work when told to.

The Story of Evil Bob

1993, Bob Joe Harrison Jr. was born. Bob was let's say an evil type of person, at age five he drew dinosaurs smashing people. His Parents knew Bob needed urgent help so they sent him to a psychiatrist but nothing worked.

One day Bob's ,other was making lemonade and out of the blue Bob squirts the citrus of a lemon into her eyes, (She is now permanently blind.) At school Bob has a classmate that despite his toils he is illiterate, Bob told him to leave the school because the school was for SMART people. He told his classmates that what he said does not not indifferent him.

Although Bob's harshness he is permanently bounded with his teddy bear Grease Joe. One day Bob look up on the internet "How to make homemade bazookas." After a few weeks of respite and work, he had finally made the bazooka.

When he got to school he strenuously picked up his bazooka and aimed at the school. He took a deep breath but before he could shoot a kid farted, which agitated him. So he decided to shoot the kid he blew him up into little pieces "Wow, fireworks dude", some said. This is not adequate Bob thought, so he shot the school killing all the teachers inside.

Some might call Bob a school hero some might call him a weirdo, but that's beside the point. Currently Bob spends his days in jail.

So the story goes on Bob stays locked in jail with his fat guard James (Which couldn't speak very well English.

"Yo fat man," Bob said.

"Don't ju kall mez fat dumbo," He replied

"I have a double McCheese Burger in here open up," Bob said.

The guard opened, up and in a matter of sconds Bob poked him in the eyeballs. "I R blind, I kant see," he screamed. Bob just took his gun and ran away. After that he administered himself to a small hovel.
"This place is poop!" he yelled.

Someone started to knock on the door, he opened up only to find an old lady "Scram you old woman go arrange yourself a funeral!" he barked. Bob had a menial job to buy pieces for explosives. He roamed the city killing everyone in sight. Capitulate to my wrath he screamed. Bob and Grease Joe became the kings of the city until James (Who is now blind) started shooting like an idiot, and he happened to hit Grease Joe. Bob observed as Grease Joe's head blew up. Bob started at Joe in terror and ran away. He was never seen of again, and as for James he now has a statue in honor of him.

Balboa Academy 6th Grade Memoir Monday

Memoir Monday: Lunch

By:

Alejandro Amado

I used to go to my great aunts house for lunch, she was happy and always laughing, that all changed the day she became ill and had to go to the hospital. Her last few days she spent them with friends and family. But then the day came when there where no more laughs not even a sound. The day I was informed I knew she was in a better place. This experience changed me because it has taught me that we should all appreciate every moment of our life.
