This I Believe

This I Believe

By:

Alejandro Amado

I believe that a good book

Is like taking a journey

Without leaving

I believe that vanilla ice cream

Makes everything better

I believe hearing the ocean roar

Calms you down

I believe that taking a nap

Refreshes your day

I believe that waking up early,

Better prepares you

For the day

I believe that Blacker berries

Take over peoples lives

I believe that peanut butter

Brings out the kid

In everyone

I believe in Dairy Queen

And I believe that the only good thing

McDonalds has to offer

Is their French Fries

These are beliefs I live my everyday life

Around.

My Brother

He was serene,
prudent, and funny.
A gentle giant,
never rebuked anybody.
His number of friends
grew in
profusion every year.
But,
his audacity costed him his life.

He was like the oceam.,
unpredictable,
sometimes wild
other times calm.

After the crash
he wasn't funny
he wans't kind
he wasn't the same.
He was always
rankled.
His face,
his face was so lackadasical,
that he didn't look,
the same.

He was my brother,
he was my friend,
he was my mentor.
I would depict him as,
the perfect human.

Digging up Worms On a Summer Day

Digging Worms on a Summer Day
By:
Alejandro Amado

When I was young
I had
Simple things,
They where my world
GI Joes, transformers.
When I was young,

Now am older
The responsible one
I no longer have
GI Joes, transformers

But,
Computers and phones,
Somehow
I feel stressed.

I miss digging
Up worms
In my back yard
And walking to my room dirty.
I wish I didn’t have to
Grow up.
I wish
I wish
I wish.

Growing up
Is like
Carrying
A mountain
On your back.

Growing is
A
Tide
You never
Know where
It will take you.

I wish
I didn’t have to grow up
I wish
I wish
I wish.
